Participation in Internal Quality Assurance Programmes in Pathology

The Institute of Pathology of the Klinikum Chemnitz gGmbH has successfully participated in internal quality assurance programmes (Peer Reviews).

This was confirmed by the Saxon State Chamber of Physicians in 1999, 2002 and 2005. The confirmation of the specialization relates to a quality assurance programme with a validity of at least three years.

The Board of the Saxon State Chamber of Physicians slightly modified the existing form of peer reviews practised in pathology in West Saxony and, on 1st February 2006, adopted the Peer Review Procedure in Pathology as a guideline for "Voluntary Quality Control in Pathology" for the Free State of Saxony.
