Certified Vascular Centre

The Vascular Centre of the Klinikum Chemnitz gGmbH was certified by the German Society for Vascular Surgery (DGG) in December 2004.

The certification process requires specialists in vascular surgery, angiology and radiology to work together in a strictly defined way, in order guarantee the holistic, interdisciplinary treatment of patients.

In this process, the Centre must show that a minimum number of treatments have been carried out, and it must organize the services of its affiliated co-operation partners in order to ensure the care of patients on a 24 hours a day, seven days a week basis.

The Vascular Centre of the Klinikum Chemnitz gGmbH was the fourth in Saxony and the 37th nationwide to receive this much sought-after certification. It was awarded following an audit and is valid until November 2007.
